it felt really rushed. A lot of stuff was cut off and CGI seemed unfinished sometimes

on the other hand, there were less plot holes than BvS had

wtf with The Flash in this movie?

I really enjoyed that. It wasn't as epic as I would have hoped for but I was pleasantly surprised. :)

The evil superman segment was so unnecessary and predictable though. Ugh. Props to them for not going the Martha route again rofl

Cyborg I didn't like. Underdeveloped

Aquaman and Flash were great.

Don't really like Ben Affleck's Batman.

Superman is a douche and could have stayed dead.

I loved how they teased the Green Lanterns and Black Adam!

Different for a Superhero Movie, but Plenty of Redeeming Factors

So I just got out of Justice League and it was not bad. I think the problem with DC's movies is that the aesthetic is just wrong.

They do a good job bringing the characters into the real world but they don't support their decisions with much. A lot of their decisions and motives appear unfounded. But that's okay, because their characters feel a lot more human than Marvel.

Aquaman is a misguided off the grid drinker, Flash has some awkward social issues, Wonder Woman healing from her last relationship, Batman acts like he is constantly atoning for something, Cyborg some understandable body and mental dysmorphia, Superman-- just OP. But they all feel really human and imperfect, unlike the Avengers. They all seem to struggle with their place in the world.

Flash was supposed to be the comic relief, DC's answer to the new (very funny) Spiderman, but his lines fell flat. All of them were pretty unfunny except him telling Batman that if Wonder Woman kills him, they'd cover for her. The racially charged joke with Cyborg was a huge cringeworthy miss, but Ezra is cute. So yeah, i'll be seeing his movie.

Cyborg was definitely the highlight for me. He was so integral and important to the team. His abilities and interfacing with computers and the world was really interesting and great. If it wasn't for him, Earth would be destroyed. Really. He was great. I like him more than Black Panther.

Aquaman, oddly, was the most unnecessary character. His only real addition to the team was his connection to the Atlantians. His costume was beautiful though.

Wonder Woman was okay. She wasn't as overbearing or huge in the movie as some of the trailers would lead you to believe (obviously edited after WW's movie success). Her skirt was really short. There was a scene that looked right up it. It bothered me a bit.

Superman
's revival was such a non-event. They should have made something happen, showed his cells being regenerated. Explained his lack of decay, etc. But his OP scene was pretty ridiculous. Literally beat all of them up without trying. But Henri Cavill was quite a menacing as a villain.

The rating really prevents them from selling the darkness of the franchise. They are Gritty, but because of the rating you're unable to see anyone taking any damage. They can't really push it to where it needs to be. This was a tough sell. We really should be seeing Affleck's Batman's demons. You know he has some. Like, sleeping with Thai escorts or something. Wonder Woman was knocked into a wall like 80 billion times during the movie and nothing. Her hair didn't even get messed up.

The Villain was kind of, not there. You didn't care about him or his motives. In fact the villain was so weak that his only motive to live is to attack and conquer stuff. It was weird.Oh, he looks like Maleficent.

Overall, it was a weak superhero movie with very interesting characters individually. What they lack in depth, they make up for in heart.

3.5/5 Stars.

I'm really excited about this movie if only because it appears to set the bar just high enough to lay a foundation to improve upon.

Yup. They really should have left the race scene as a blu-ray extra

Yeah. I get they were trying to do fan-service but it was just so unnecessary.

Honestly I really did enjoy this movie but im sad that I didn't find it EPIC...like...it didn't really feel like a JUSTICE LEAGUE movie. it kinda felt like the CW Arrowverse annual crossover. Eh. I still hold out hope that in my lifetime we'll get something on the scale of this in live action
