I am a huge fan of chloe and halle and was running a fan account for them, but stopped as i was unhappy with how overwhelming it could be (since I was doing it all by myself
**).

But I do wanna give it a try as I love the girls and wanna support them any way I can.

Does anyone have tips on running a fan account and/or site?

focus on posting news. with a blog front and center, then a forum/community second.

Ironically, it is often best for them to remain where they are comfortable – out of the spotlight – where the natural confidence prevalent in Architects as they work with the familiar can serve as its own beacon, attracting people, romantically or otherwise, of similar temperament and interests.

funneling them from twitter is OK. the problem is, twitter users will typically always prefer twitter.

so perhaps other forums and sources would be more ideal over finding that initial user base.

of course an initial team of 5 users or so would definitely help you!

I used to run an Amy Winehouse fansite (yeaaaars ago) and if anything, the hardest thing is keeping the gallery updated with recent photos (candids, photo shoots, social media pics etcetcetc). News, updates and things of that nature can just easily be ripped from google, just credit the source.

did you use a specific host or forum software for that? i don't wanna shell out too much money right now, but i know to have a decent site it would take more than just janky ass proboards.

A team of 5 seems heavy as hell.

Maybe start with 3 including yourself and set the tone and vibe then branch out to 5 gradually.

Also, as someone else said, Twitter first but also, don’t be afraid to like to post content on Instagram and even Facebook as well until you get your site going. Might be easier to toss things up on all social media until your team is fully there, then start getting that site launch together.

Just depends on how much time you have to give to it.

Also get a couple of the Beyonce fan accounts on twitter to promote your page. Beg for a shoutout, many (smaller ones) will give it,

I can definitely talk to a few Beyhive accounts for promo. I think my biggest hurdle right now is assembling a team. Most of the people who volunteer when I ask are barely teenagers/really young toofunny2

My friend sorted out hosting and stuff, we used a program to log into the site to change the layout, upload pics, but to post news it was as simple as logging in through the cpanel on your browser. We didn't have a forum but we were the most popular Winehouse site at the time (keeping in mind this was around 2007). The hits we got on our gallery was insane. We always got emails asking us to join radio interviews (mainly BBC) in Amy's defense against some cunts who were talking shit about her. I wish I could give you more info but I really can't remember. I have the memory of a goldfish. tellmemoreireallycare
